The Milton Woman's Club, which helped lay the foundation for these chronicles, was organized June 1927.
"The object of the Club is to promote the social, cultural and civic interests of the women of this community..." Monies collected from members' dues and other fund raising events, such as the sale of this book, is given to many worthy causes; donation of books to the local schools and churches, as well as a math prize each year at the Litchfield High School awards banquet.
